If you know you are ready to take the leap… from out of a plane 14,000 feet above the Earth, and you’ve never done it before, then a first time tandem skydive is a great place to start skydiving immediately!
Tandem skydiving allows guests ages 18 to 65 the chance to experience 60 seconds of freefall when exiting at an altitude of 14,000 feet. You will share a tandem skydiving harness with one of our professional instructors who will show you why birds fly!
You should plan to spend a half day at the Drop Zone for your first tandem skydive. You will first attend a safety lecture and sign your disclaimer.
Please plan to wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes (no open toes). Don’t worry if you only packed sandals to wear on your vacation in Paradise – we got you covered! We have close-toed shoes you can borrow. You will also be asked to wear a jumpsuit and goggles to keep your eyes and clothes protected.
Your Tandem Instructor will ask you to step into a harness, where you will then be adjusted to perfectly fit your body. Please don’t attempt to re-adjust your harness once your Tandem Instructor is finished. The harness is adjusted to ensure your safety, and if you change any adjustment you can risk your own life!
After being harnessed to your Tandem Instructor, the plane will take off! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunning views from high above the Mariana Islands!
Are you ready!? Your Tandem Instructor will give you instructions to ensure you are in the safest position possible to depart the aircraft. Time to get down!
Enjoy 15-seconds to 1-minute of freefall depending on your altitude. You don’t have to worry about the freefall creating the “roller coaster drop” feeling. The feeling is actually similar to floating and the air resistance all around you creates a feeling of cushioning and support.
At approximately 5,500 feet, your instructor will deploy the main parachute allowing you to take in the surrounding views while skydiving over Guam or Saipan with approximately five minutes of peaceful flying.
You will land at the Drop Zone. Don’t worry! Your feet will be lifted as you land, and your Tandem Instructor will make sure you land as nice and smoothly as possible. After a ride in the van back to our office, you will receive a completion certificate from your instructor. Congratulations on your first skydiving lesson!
